Edinburgh Central Labour Party
Who are we?
What do we do at Edinburgh CLP?
Edinburgh Central CLP is the local Labour Party for the heart of Scotland’s capital. We are responsible for organising Labour’s membership and local activities across the very soul of Edinburgh, from Gorgie to Calton, and from Stockbridge to Holyrood. The city of Edinburgh has a proud history of Labour support, a tradition that we are pleased to uphold.
Edinburgh elected 6 MPs to Westminster in 2024, and we’re hoping to build on this success in Holyrood elections in 2026. We need you to help us make Edinburgh and Scotland a better place. Find out how to get involved.

Whether you’ve been a member for years or this would be your first time participating in the local party, we’d love to have more active members willing to help out! We’re particularly keen for more women or marginalised individuals to run for positions, in order to help us better represent and advocate for the members of Edinburgh Central.
